The client is NZ’s leading supermarket brand. With over 185 supermarkets across New Zealand, they serve over 3 million customers a week. The business is looking for an accomplished Property Manager to join the team in Auckland, reporting into the National Portfolio Manager.

The purpose of the Property Manager position is to assist with the strategic and day‐to‐day property management of a significant portfolio. The focus is on supporting the strategic direction of the portfolio, to achieve market leading property outcomes and to deliver on the portfolio plan meeting business objectives for tenure, occupancy costs, convenience and customer amenities.
You will also be responsible for:
  • Liaising with external partners (e.g. landlords, agents, valuers and consultants) on proposals to ensure clear communication and execution of business objectives
  • Working to implement the endorsed property portfolio strategy through negotiation of property transactions to improve existing sites and secure new sites
  • Contributing to the selection and contract management of outside suppliers, contractors and/or tenants in line with set programs and requirements
  • Managing and building relationships with all stakeholders to ensure ongoing regulatory and legislative compliance
To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following:
  • A Property degree, preferably from an accredited NZ university, while not essential is preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial property management, with an emphasis on lease negotiation
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • An ability to work well within a team environment of mixed cultures and age
  • A strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage different workstreams
