A growing, boutique consultancy is seeking a self-motivated Intermediate Project Manager to join their Auckland presence and lead civil and social infrastructure projects across the region.
The business is highly culture-driven and progressive, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, trust, flexibility and delivering quality outcomes. With senior leadership based in Waikato and Tauranga, you’ll be supported and mentored while operating with autonomy in Auckland.

You will be responsible for:
- End-to-end project delivery from design, procurement, construction and close-out
- Consultant and contractor coordination
- Stakeholder management across public and private sector environments
- Programme, cost and risk management
- Procurement strategy and tender management
- Contract administration and project reporting
- Full contract management under NZS3910, including variations, payment claims, EOTs and formal project administration
While your focus will be civil and social infrastructure, the wider business also delivers residential and vertical sector projects, providing diversity of exposure over time.
About You:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
- 5+ years experience within a client-side consultancy environment or have been a Project Manager with a Civil Contractor in New Zealand
- Proven ability to run infrastructure projects end-to-end
- Confident in contract administration and formal project governance
- Commercially astute, organised and proactive with great communication skills
- Motivated by autonomy, responsibility and long-term progression
