The Company:

This specialist Project Management and Property Advisory Consultancy are looking for a Senior Project Manager to assist with a new pipeline of work. In an already well established team and business, you would be part of delivering on behalf of a variety of clients, taking a consultative approach to design, risk mitigation and the construction phase, to achieve key commercial outcomes across the region. 

You will assist on delivering high quality services on a variety of projects including but not limited to, commercial and office, education, residential, and both private and public sector.

This company specialises in strategic advisory, property advisory, development management, project management and asset management. 

As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for: 
  • Ensuring completion of any project in a timely manner and within the budgetary limits 
  • Managing resources in conjunction with team and suppliers
  • Maintaining, managing and documenting all project reports and statements 
  • Facilitating team and client meetings effectively including holding status meetings regularly  
  • Keeping Directors informed of project progress and cost status 
  • Client management – effectively work with team and managers to ensure relevant communication with the client is done  
  • Understanding cost-to-completion projections and assisting in making decisions accordingly  
Opportunities available in both Hamilton and Tauranga.

The ideal background would include:
  • Degree qualified - Architecture, Construction management, Building Science 
  • 6+ years experience working in a consultancy or client representative project management role
  • Able to demonstrate project delivery in a variety of asset classes
  • Project experience from inception to completion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills dealing with the demands of the client while managing designers, and contractors on site
  • A relationship builder – able to hold strong relationships with clients 
  • Ability to follow directions and take initiative when required
