The role
Due to growth in the New Zealand business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Director to join an international property and project management consultancy business. 
  
My client is seeking a candidate that can drive and manage business activities across industrial and logistic projects nationally.
  
In this role, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of multiple projects across New Zealand ranging from $5 - 100 million plus, manage a high performing team of Project Managers, as well as taking the lead in business development strategies to actively grow the pipeline of projects, this role will also form part of the ANZ leadership team. 
  
About you
You will have significant project delivery experience within the New Zealand property and construction industry. You will be able to lead from the front by actively working with the wider business to drive the growth of the business nationally and ensure that quality and cost are held at the core of this role.
  
Your responsibilities will see you being involved in projects from concept to completion with a focus initially on business development activities. You will also manage and develop design briefs, coordinate project resources, manage the contract and client.
  
You will have a strong track record of experience working in a construction, consultancy and/or client-side project management role and will be able to lead from the front on all these large scale projects.
  
A tertiary degree in Project or Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building, is a must along with 10+ years' related work experience managing and delivering commercial style projects ranging from $5 million+.
  
Excellent construction contract management and hands on experience in brownfield projects is ideal, along with:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Management and appointment of all 3rd parties
  • Management and execution of Lease Agreements
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills
