Job description

This respected New Zealand-owned consultancy delivers high-quality, end-to-end project management services across a variety of sectors nationwide. With a strong Wellington pipeline and a commercially savvy leadership team, they are positioned for continued growth and success.
They’re now looking for a Project Manager to join their tight-knit Wellington team, a role suited to an experienced Intermediate PM ready to take the next step toward senior level responsibility.
Working alongside highly experienced Senior Project Managers and Project Directors, you’ll gain exposure to complex, multi-sector projects while being supported to manage your own portfolio and clients. The team prides itself on being practical, collaborative, and results-driven, with a strong emphasis on relationships and quality delivery.

The Role:
  • Deliver a variety of projects from inception through completion across healthcare, education, commercial fit-out and seismic upgrades
  • Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
  • Coordinate design, procurement, and construction phases
  • Track project financials, cost control and timelines
  • Contribute to project strategy, risk management and reporting
  • Work within a high-performing, supportive, and people-focused team
About You:
  • 4–7 years’ project management experience within consultancy or client-side environments within New Zealand
  • Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related field
  • Proven ability to deliver projects across design and construction phases
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Motivated, detail-focused, and ready to take ownership of your work
  • Experience in healthcare, education or fit-out projects advantageous
This is a genuine opportunity to step into an autonomous role where you’ll be trusted to run your own projects while learning from industry leaders. The Wellington team is boutique in size but backed by a strong nationwide network, offering both the agility of a small business and the support of a larger organisation.

If you’re ready to accelerate your career and make your mark on some of Wellington’s most exciting projects, apply now or contact Olivia Langford-Lee on 027 256 0620 or olivial@assemblerecruit.com for a confidential chat.
