Based in Canterbury, this Project Manager position will play a key role in managing a significant infrastructure project for a leading South Island owned civil contractor. Construction will kick off early next year.

You will be leading the day-to-day delivery of this significant project while supporting & managing an onsite team of engineers, surveyors, operators, labourers, etc.

We are seeking a candidate who ideally has previous infrastructure experience and is driven and motivated to successfully deliver projects on time, safely, within budget, and to client’s expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and oversee projects from initiation to completion. Ensuring projects are delivered on time, safely, and within budget.
Collaborate and create strong relationships with all stakeholders – clients, subcontractors, and internal personal for seamless project delivery.
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, NZ 3910, and environmental regulations.
Provide clear and concise progress reports to stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience delivering civil projects on time, within scope, and budget.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Focus to Health and Safety and Quality.
Shows initiative, motivation, and has a drive to succeed.
