Centuria Capital Group (ASX:CNI) is an ASX-listed specialist investment manager with a 35 year track-record of delivering a range of products and services to investors, advisers and securityholders. Centuria Capital Group has $20.2b in Assets Under Management. Their business is centred around property funds management and investment bonds. They are currently looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join their team in Sydney.

The Portfolio Analyst’s role is to provide financial and analytical support to the Property and Portfolio Analyst teams in the management of a diversified portfolio of commercial, industrial, retail, agriculture and healthcare properties located throughout Australia and New Zealand on behalf of various Funds under Centuria’s management.

The Portfolio Analyst will have a direct responsibility in conjunction with the Valuations Manager and sector Portfolio Manager for the preparation of property asset plans and general property statistics, whilst also co-ordinating and managing the internal and external valuation programs. In addition, they have direct exposure to the unlisted Fund Managers assisting in forecasting fund cashflows.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of annual Asset Plans and Asset Plan re-forecasting to ensure accurate, timely and reconciled forecasts for management reporting and investment decision making purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Portfolio Board Reports for the Listed and Unlisted Funds.
  • Prepare 5 year cash flow forecasts for the Listed and Unlisted Funds.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Analysts to ensure accurate, timely and reconciled monthly reports, quarterly fund updates and half yearly ASX reporting requirements.
  • Co-ordination of the external valuations and preparation of internal Valuations of the Fund assets for statutory and internal reporting purposes, including provision of information and advice to the Fund’s auditors.
  • Preparation of monthly property and portfolio information, eg, WALE, Tenant retention rates, asset metrics, performance, leasing tracking, incentive applications and portfolio summaries.
  • Assist in the co-ordination of information and reporting from external property and asset managers.
  • Managing, maintaining management fee revenue and expense schedules.
To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following:
  • An NZ recognised tertiary degree in Property or Finance (e.g. Economics, Property, Valuations, Finance, Commerce/Business)
  • 2-5 years prior experience within the Property sector (e.g. Commercial Valuations, Property/Development Analysts)
  • Possess a high financial aptitude, commercial acumen, and ability to analyse financial data from budgets, business plans and valuations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to produce high-quality reports, analysis, and presentations under tight deadlines
  • Strong numerical reasoning and well-developed financial modelling skills with an understanding and working knowledge of asset management software
  • Relationship management experience, and a customer/client focus
