A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that offers civil engineering, environmental engineering and surveying services is looking for an intermediate civil engineer to join their team.
  
This role has come about due to strong demand for their services in civil land development and the incumbent engineer moving to the UK to do their OE.
  
This consultancy has almost 20 years of experience in the design and delivery of land development projects across the public and private sectors with a long list of successfully completed brownfield and greenfield land development projects across the commercial, industrial and residential asset classes in a multitude of sectors for some of New Zealand’s largest and most respected property developers, architects and well-known businesses, ranging from Luxury residential golf developments, the development of infrastructure and town squares for Panuku, public walkways and community facilities for Auckland council.
  
A big contributor to the Auckland Unitary plan this consultancy has a great relationship with council and their engineers are renowned for their resource consent expertise.

Responsibilities:

This all-encompassing role will give you great exposure to the broad and varied elements of land development including but not limited to site monitoring, contract administration, general civil design, resource consent preparation and contract preparation.
  
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Plans, designs, and directing civil engineering projects.
  • Analysing reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.
  • Prepares reports, specifications, calculations, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, construction project documents, and designs for projects.
  • Calculating costs and determining the feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data while applying engineering knowledge and techniques.
  • Construction and site monitoring.
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Civil3D or 12D.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities, contractors, and other parties.
  
Requirements:
  • BE Civil (or equivalent)
  • 2 + years of New Zealand experience
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D/12D
  • Local Land development and 3 waters experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
