A highly strategic project Consultancy on a growth trajectory in NZ are looking to fill a new role within their Infrastructure Advisory sector. This business deliver innovative and efficient solutions across the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion with success in many sectors. 

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

Due to their continued success in the Infrastructure advisory sector, they are seeking a dynamic and professional Consultant or Senior Consultant. The role would suit either a seasoned Consultant, someone with a history of mid-senior level management across our large asset intensive public sector organisations, who is looking to move to a specialist Consultancy, or a graduate who is good at expressing high concept ideas in a clear and concise way, such as from a law/economics background. 
  
The primary purpose of the role is to provide strong advisory support to large scale, high-profile asset intensive agencies, predominantly across the public sector. They provide advice across strategic and long term investment planning, strategic asset management, project, programme and portfolio management as well as benefits realisation. This role supports the development of the advisory business unit in its provision of key services, initiatives, and solutions across NZ.
  
Their teams work on a diverse range of assignments, across the asset/investment management system, with particular capability in strategy development; asset and investment management planning and prioritisation, business case development; portfolio management, project management; and operational commissioning. 

ABOUT THE PERSON:
  • You should have experience in or as an advisory client to large infrastructure/utility and/or public sector organisations
  • Experience working with or in local and/or central government agencies, particularly with experience in strategic asset management or asset management planning
  • Experience or knowledge of one or more of the following: Treasury Investor Confidence Rating attributes – Portfolio management, programme management, project management (P3M), Long Term Investment Planning, Asset Management or Organisational Change Management
  • Experience in developing/delivering organisation improvement/change programmes
  • Knowledge or experience of enterprise PMO / Portfolio Support Office
  • Strategy development – work with leaders to develop organisational strategy and translate into portfolio of projects
  • Experienced business case writer, problem solving (ideally Investment Logic Mapping), project health checking/gateway reviewing - ideally certified in one or more of Better Business Case, Investment Logic Mapping, Gateway reviewing
  • Experience with benefits management particularly development of measurable benefits
  • Excellent communicator, with demonstrable ability to translate technical detail to non-technical audiences
