Summerset are now recruiting for an accomplished property executive to take up the position of Head of Property & Asset Management. The role reports to the CFO and can be based in either Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch.

This key senior hire will direct and drive the property asset strategy for Summerset including day to day maintenance, capital refurbishment/upgrade and asset replacement, building compliance and corporate social responsibility.
The person will lead a team accountable for the management of multiple large scale national contracts, opex/capex budgets, manage FM solutions, process and systems improvement, strategic FM development and life-cycle asset management.
 
This is a significant senior hire for Summerset, working with the senior leadership team, in a fast paced, dynamic business the person will provide vision, leadership and management delivering customer focussed, efficient and effective asset management and property services.
 
The successful candidate will be well established in the property market with extensive asset management experience managing a high performing portfolio and team.
 
Other key experience will include:
  • Experience in strategic property/asset/project management based in NZ or overseas.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of contract negotiation and management.
  • Proven record of leading and developing teams capable of consistently delivering successful outcomes.
  • Collaborative approach to the role with appreciation of other stakeholders’ interests.
  • Sound understanding of the NZ Building Codes, Property, and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing and delivering high-quality reporting to executive, board and investor groups.
  • High work ethic, passionate, resilient, adaptable and driven toward successful results.
