Job description

Our client is a private property and investment business, focused on delivering end-to-end property developments. Part of a larger construction and property group they have grown from humble beginnings in Hawkes Bay to a national presence of 400+ staff. 

With substantial holdings throughout the central North Island they are looking for an experienced Commercial Property & Facilities Manager to join their team in Napier, Hawkes Bay. This role would see you focused on delivering exceptional service to tenants, leading all leasing activity, day-to day management and assisting with the financial management across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of commercial and residential properties, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
  • Develop and implement property management policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations including a process for dealing with urgent out of hours requests.  
  • Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
  • Prepare and manage operating expense budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations related to property management and health and safety.
  • Ensure BWOF and associated IQP sign offs remain compliant.
  • Market and lease vacant commercial and residential units to prospective tenants.
  • Maintain accurate records of property transactions, leases, and tenant information.

About You:

  • A tertiary qualification in Property or similar field would be beneficial, but not essential
  • 3+ years in commercial property management 
  • Effective communicator both written and oral with internal and external clients.
  • Be a problem solver, showing initiative and ability to make decisions while working autonomously.
  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills including MS Office.
