The Opportunity

They are seeking an intermediate-level Estimator with experience winning work in the three waters and energy sector.
You’ll play a key role in pricing and securing projects that are essential to the livelihood of our communities, from pump stations and water treatment plants to pipelines and watermains.

What You’ll Bring
  • Around 4–5 years’ experience in estimating water & energy infrastructure projects
  • Strong technical skills in cost estimation and tender preparation
  • A sharp eye for detail and a knack for building strong subcontractor and supplier relationships
  • A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • NZ work rights

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Source, evaluate, and analyse pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and plant hire
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to validate construction methods
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and conditions with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favourable agreements
  • Manage post-contract activities, including monitoring compliance and documenting performance
