They are in the process of building a nationwide Infrastructure service offering and are searching for a key person to be part of that journey. The Role
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager with infrastructure project delivery experience to join the National team and be responsible for delivering high quality services to their major clients on a diverse range of roading and utility services projects in the Infrastructure and Civil construction sector. Initially, most projects will be in the fast growing Bay of Plenty and Waikato region, however with the delivery of these projects occurring across a collaborative Teams environment, the ideal candidate can be located elsewhere in New Zealand and deliver these projects remotely with occasional travel.
You will work closely with the Project Director / Sector lead on major projects and take the lead once projects and relationships are established.

- Building a strong relationship with your clients so they are confident in your ability and for future work
- Proactively managing project scope, schedule, finances, risk, procurement, resources, stakeholders and communication in conjunction with team and suppliers
- Maintaining, managing and documenting all project reports and statements
- Keeping Directors informed of project progress and cost status
- Understanding cost-to-completion projections and assisting in making decisions accordingly
- Ensuring completion of any project in a timely manner and within the budgetary limits
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Highly motivated, able to work independently, diligent and with an eye for detail
- Experience in delivering a range of Infrastructure projects focusing on strategic and programme management
- Experience in a consultancy and/or public service environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Client facing experience and comfortable with running meetings
- Experience with both end to end project management and construction MSQA – including experience with NZS3910 contracts
- Positively contribute to the internal team and seek to add value. Ability to form effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
