Project Manager

An established affordable housing organisation focused on delivering high-quality affordable residential developments, collaborating with iwi, government agencies, and community partners are looking for a Project Manager. 

They are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the delivery of housing development projects primarily within Auckland and potentially across New Zealand. This role will involve managing projects end-to-end, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the delivery of housing development projects from concept to completion while assisting with scheme viability and financial feasibility.
• Manage design processes, consents, and implementation of approved projects, ensuring budgets are established and monitored.
• Appoint and manage external consultants to deliver efficient housing developments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle and regularly review project outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Stay informed about changing housing demands and community trends while providing feedback for future development improvements.
• Support the creation of vibrant communities through effective project management and stakeholder engagement.

Key Skills and Attributes

• Proven track record of successful project management experience in the residential sector.
• At least three years of experience managing project teams and collaborating with various consultants during the build process.
• Excellent analytical skills with a logical and innovative approach to problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
