Job description

My client is a multidisciplinary consultancy renowned for its proficiency in geotechnical, civil, environmental, and water projects. As a privately owned firm, they boast a robust project portfolio throughout New Zealand. Consequently, they are seeking multiple Senior Geotechnical Engineers to join their teams in Christchurch and Auckland.

In this role, you will oversee the complete project lifecycle for diverse geotechnical projects including renewables, foundations, dams, settlements, retaining walls, slips, and irrigation. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with both internal teams and external consultants to manage detailed design, conduct site inspections, and prepare comprehensive reports.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following: 
  • A Bachelor of Engineering University degree.
  • Brilliant communication skills – both verbal and written, with the ability to coordinate with engineers, architects & project managers.
  • Have a passion for Engineering and geotechnical projects.
  • A good sense of humour, with the capability to work in a team environment and solo.
  • At least 4 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience either in New Zealand or overseas.
