Civil Site Supervisor

A nationwide civil infrastructure construction specialist are looking for an Earthworks and Civils supervisor/Site engineer for projects in Hawkes Bay. 

They currently have two large scale subdivision projects in Napier and Havelock North. 

The role will cover: 

• Large scale earthworks
• Civil works including 3 waters, gas, fibre, power.
• Concrete works – They have their own concrete crews.
• Pavements.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Oversee daily coordination of civil works. 
• liaise with the PM on programming
• Interpret plans to ensure accuracy & quality
• Ensure all safety requirements are met, including traffic management plans, prestart risk assessments, toolbox discussions, plant certified safe and competent to operate
• Management of subcontractors.
• Monitoring workloads & resources to distribute work evenly and maximise utilisation of plant and resources.

To qualify for the role, the candidate will have as follows: 

• Experienced at running earthworks, drainage, pavement buildups, concrete and other general civil works.
• Needs solid organisational skills and forward planning ability.
• Ability to manage 20-40 staff on site including sub-contractors.
• IT literate
• Happy to get hands/boots dirty and be on tools if required.
• Happy to work Saturdays.
