An outstanding Contractor is searching for a high-performing Senior Quantity Surveyor to add value, diversity and high-level project delivery solutions primarily focused on ECI work across Auckland.  

They are a specialist delivering complex and innovative solutions across the delivery lifecycle. They are highly recognised for their continued successful delivery of high-profile projects across NZ, with a multitude of Tier One clients particularly across the commercial sector. 
 
About your new role: 
  
As ECI Quantity Surveyor, you are responsible for managing commercial aspects of their projects, from agreed feasibility budget to the final account settlement. This career move will offer scope to assist with leading the ECI service line. 

You will work closely with the local team, Auckland Directors, and client(s). You will thrive in an ambitious, highly astute and commercial environment with a wider team who combines talent and relationships to deliver projects at an exceptional level and who enjoy the benefits of working amongst industry-leading professionals. 
  
Further details included:
  • You will be responsible for a variety of construction projects of a
    commercial nature and some large apartment buildings. You will
    be expected to possess and maintain an in-depth knowledge of
    civil and infrastructure works, residential buildings and
    commercial work with complex structural and services elements
    as typically found in commercial buildings.
  • Proposal preparation, job delivery, work planning and financial
    management tasks.
  • Performing pre-construction services including estimating,
    programming, staging and the like. Including advice on buildability, material and programme.
  • Key contact for major project tendering 
  • Contract management, project management, strategic involvement as required.
  • Team management and mentoring, and company representative and key contact on projects.

About you: 
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification. Preferably BSc Quantity Surveying.
  • Significant experience in construction/building/project work.
  • Extensive Quantity Surveying experience, approximately 10-15 years
    plus as construction QS dealing with civil & infrastructure works
    and commercial builds to be fully competent.
  • Participate as a key member of the project team.
  • Foster and enhance relationships at all levels.
  • Be commercially focused on goals, without the values or approach.
  • Actively participate in all company objectives.
