This market-leading consultancy has a rare opportunity for a strong Senior Project Manager to join their Auckland team.
This prestigious firm brings together project management, development management and surveying specialists and are recognised leaders across industrial, land development, retail, commercial office, hotel & leisure sectors. Their portfolio includes award-winning national and international projects, with a strong pipeline of repeat work from long-standing clients.
This role is suited to a high performing Senior Project Manager who has extensive experience in a consultancy construction environment delivering projects within NZ. You will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end from design concept through to construction delivery and final handover, while acting as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

The Role:
  • Lead and take ownership of complex projects from inception through to completion and handover
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships
  • Develop and lead procurement strategies, project programmes, and delivery methodologies
  • Provide leadership across consultant and contractor teams through all project phases
  • Take full responsibility for project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, and reporting
  • Chair project meetings and drive clear, proactive communication across all stakeholders
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks while ensuring successful outcomes
  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to the overall capability of the business
  • This is a senior, client-facing role requiring a high level of autonomy, commercial acumen, and leadership, with the support of an experienced and collaborative company directors.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 8–12+ years’ project management experience in New Zealand
  • Proven consultancy or client-side experience is essential
  • Strong track record delivering projects end-to-end across relevant sectors
  • Highly developed stakeholder and client management capability at a senior level
  • Excellent understanding of construction methodology, procurement, and project lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets, programmes, and risk independently
  • Solid experience administering NZ3910 contracts
  • A relevant qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Architecture or similar
