Auckland | Private Capital | Senior Operations Role

Assemble Recruitment is partnering with Capital Group, a New Zealand private capital investment business, to appoint an Senior Operations Manager into its Auckland-based team.

This is a senior, hands‑on role at the centre of the business, responsible for operational execution, investor reporting, systems management, and compliance, while working closely with the CEO and Head of Lending and external service providers. The role offers broad responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to materially influence how the business operates and scales.

The Opportunity
As Operations & Investor Relations Manager, you will take ownership of the firm’s core operational infrastructure, including AML compliance, investor onboarding, transaction processing, reporting, and system optimisation.

You will act as the primary owner of Salesforce and related systems, ensuring data integrity, driving enhancements, and producing high‑quality reporting for internal and external stakeholders. The role also encompasses investor communications, IT and website oversight, and people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Systems
  • Own and manage Salesforce, including investor and borrower onboarding, transaction setup, allocations, repayments, and data integrity
  • Lead system enhancements, testing, and refinements with key service providers
  • Produce and distribute quarterly investor statements and operational reporting
  • Develop business reporting, analytics, and supporting tools
  • Maintain system documentation, user guides, and process controls
Investor Relations & Compliance
  • Support investor communications and respond to information requests
  • Manage AML processes, reporting, audit, and ongoing compliance obligations
  • Liaise with external providers across AML, reporting, and systems
IT, Marketing & Business Support
  • Manage IT contracts and website ownership, including staff onboarding/offboarding
  • Oversee Capital Group’s LinkedIn presence and support proactive communications strategy
  • Liaise with external marketing providers as required
  • Support AI integration initiatives across the business
People & Office Management
  • Manage the Office Manager, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Support efficient day‑to‑day office operations
About You
You will likely bring:
  • Strong experience in operations, investor reporting, or fund administration within financial services or private capital
  • Hands‑on experience with CRM or investment systems (Salesforce highly regarded)
  • Solid understanding of AML and compliance requirements
  • Strong data, reporting, and process improvement capability
  • Confidence working closely with senior leadership and external service providers
  • A proactive, detail‑driven, and commercially minded approach
