About the role:
They are currently on the lookout for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in the Waikato with a view to provide technical leadership and engineering support to construction teams, helping translate design intent into buildable, efficient outcomes and ensuring the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects on site.
The successful candidate will contribute strong design understanding and analytical thinking across project delivery, tender inputs, and constructability reviews, while mentoring site teams and working closely with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.

Duties:
- Provide technical support to site teams to deliver civil construction projects
- Review designs and develop practical solutions to technical issues
- Contribute to tenders and early planning through construction methodology input
- Undertake site visits to support quality and compliance
- Engage with clients and mentor site engineers
- Qualified Civil Engineer with a strong grounding in engineering fundamentals.
- Approximately 5–10 years’ post‑graduate experience ideally spanning both consultancy and contractor
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to apply engineering judgement, including design development, technical reviews, and engineering calculations to support project outcomes.
- Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and delivery teams
