Due to an internal move, Oyster are now looking for an experienced, executive level property professional to take up the General Manager – Property position. Leading a team of approximately 25, this role has strategic oversight and day-to-day responsibility for the asset performance of the entire portfolio, including development activity, a portfolio worth circa $2 Billion.
  
The primary objective of this position is to provide strategic direction to the Oyster commercial and retail property teams and their portfolios, ensuring that value is enhanced, potential downside mitigated and consequently ensuring stable and well managed property investment for the Owners. This includes driving growth of the funds management and third-party mandate portfolios, consistent with Oyster strategic objectives.
  
The successful candidate will be well established in the local Property market, with an extensive network of agency relationships.
  
To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following:
  • A NZ recognised tertiary degree in Property or Finance (e.g., Economics, Property, Valuations, Finance, Commerce/Business)
  • A minimum of 10yrs experience in commercial property management in NZ as a guideline
  • Possess advanced knowledge of property valuation principles and a high property market IQ
  • Experience with, and a commitment too introducing and driving sustainability initiatives across large property portfolios
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing and delivering high-quality reporting to executive, board and investor groups
  • Proven team leadership experience
  • High work ethic, resiliency, adaptability and a strong self-drive for results
