Founders Group is looking to bring on board a Development Manager to identify, initiate and manage a range of development projects in Auckland. The role will be supported by and report to the GM, Property Development.
This is a significant strategic hire for Founders Group as the role will involve sole responsibility management of existing vertical projects along with identifying and acquisition of future land development projects to build our pipeline.

Key Accountabilities
- Identify and acquire potential development investment opportunities that fit with Founders development strategy.
- Develop and maintain key relationships to ensure Founders is offered strategic opportunities both on and off market.
- Prepare detailed project strategies and plans for development projects and undertake detailed feasibility and financial analysis of prospective projects.
- Management of master planning and consenting processes.
- Select and manage project teams of consultants and contractors in compliance with company policy and objectives to ensure projects are procured on time and within budget.
- Deliver high quality projects that maximise the company’s return on investment.
- Ensure a robust risk management framework and methodology is applied across projects including health and safety protocols.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity the ideal candidate will have experience as a development manager in site acquisition, master planning, due diligence, planning approval, design, and construction.
You will also have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification majoring preferably in valuation, engineering, property, project management or construction economics.
- Experience in land development and acquisitions is desirable.
- You should have end to end development management experience with a proven eye for identifying new opportunities and turning those opportunities in to reality.
- Experience producing development feasibilities and cash flow forecasts.
- Working closely with external stakeholders while managing the design, procurement, and tendering of projects.
- Managing the project programme and that all contractors and sub-contractors are working to timeframes set.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to produce high quality reports.
